BOTOX®
BOTOX® is a highly purified therapeutic protein that Dr. Turner uses to alleviate facial pain. Patients suffering from painful TMJ disorders or tension type migraine headaches can get relief thanks to this treatment.
Effective Relief for TMJ Disorders
TMJ disorders can cause problems with the jaw joint and the muscles surrounding it. The muscles may tighten up, leading to headaches, neck and facial pain, and other symptoms. Dr. Turner provides BOTOX® treatment to relieve the tension associated with TMJ disorders. BOTOX has proven highly effective at relieving pain at its source-deep within the muscles
Minimally Invasive and Fast Results
Traditional treatments for TMJ symptoms, migraine headaches and facial pain such as mouthguards and oral medication sometimes fail to bring adequate relief. In these cases, Dr. Turner has found BOTOX® to be a highly effective alternative.
BOTOX® offers 24-hour relief compared to the merely nighttime relief provided by a night guard. You can receive this minimally invasive treatment in Dr. Turner’s office. You will begin seeing improvements within a week or less and the full benefits in 14 days. You can easily resume normal activities following the treatment.
What is Causing My Pain?
When you come in to see Dr. Turner, he will pinpoint the source of the problem by checking for a variety of symptoms, including clicking or popping of your jaw joint, diagnostic wear patterns on your teeth and the location of pain. Dr. Turner does a complete dental and medical evaluation to determine whether BOTOX® will be part of your treatment. Based on your results, he will recommend the best therapy for you.
TOOTH REPAIR
Restorative Dentistry is the restoration of natural teeth that have been damaged or decayed. We get you back in perfect oral health by understanding the current state of your teeth. We provide a complete examination of each part of your mouth, teeth and gums. We can save you years of dental issues by evaluating and revitalizing your existing smile.
After giving an initial diagnosis, we give treatment options and discuss your dental goals. Without regard to the extent of treatment needed, you can be sure we will use the most optimal techniques and procedures.
Restorative procedures that we offer include fillings, post and core build-up, same-day crowns, and Endodontic (Root Canal) therapy.
MISSING TOOTH REPLACEMENTS
Have the confidence to smile larger and more often when you no longer have missing or gapped teeth. The replacement of teeth may be fixed (permanently cemented) in the mouth or removable. Either way, we can show you the most comfortable, natural and beautiful solutions. This may include permanent implants or prosthetics.
Our most common Prosthetic Procedures are:
Fixed Bridges
We can replace one or many missing teeth. This type of appliance requires a minimum of one solid anchor tooth on each side of the space. The amount of anchor teeth included depends on the length of the span with the missing teeth.
Removable Partial Dentures
We can replace one or many missing teeth. This type of appliance can be made entirely of plastic or it can have a metal framework under the plastic.
Complete Denture
We can replace all teeth in the upper or lower arch. This appliance is usually made entirely of acrylic. This is done in just one day.
Implant Supported Partial or Complete Denture
We can replace several or all of the missing teeth. By using implants for support, these appliances are much more stable.
Implant Restorations
Implants allow for the replacement of a single tooth or multiple missing teeth and are the most natural and permanent way to replace missing teeth. No longer do you need to worry about loose fitting or uncomfortable bridges and dentures.
PREVENTATIVE DENTISTRY
Preventive Dentistry deals with the prevention of dental disease. Each patient receives a customized prevention plan based on a thorough evaluation of his or her mouth at the time of the initial oral examination. This is a dynamic plan that is revised during subsequent periodic examinations.
Our most common Preventative Procedures are:
Individualized Oral Hygiene Instruction
To help the patient learn how to take care of his or her own mouth.
Fluoride Treatments
To strengthen tooth enamel and help prevent decay.
GUM DISEASE PREVENTION
A healthy smile comes from healthy teeth and gums. Periodontal Therapy is the branch of dentistry that encompasses the care and treatment of the supporting structures of the teeth. This includes the gingival (gum) tissues and the bone surrounding the teeth. A collaborative approach to providing periodontal care is utilized involving the patient, the dental hygienist, the dentist and a periodontist (gum specialist) if indicated.
Our most common Periodontal Procedures are:
Scaling
Therapy to remove plaque, stain, and calculus (tartar) from tooth surfaces that are below the gumline.
Root Planing
Advanced therapy to debride and smooth the root surfaces of teeth exposed by periodontal disease. May require local anesthesia.
Oral Hygiene Instruction
Individualized instruction in the use of periodontal aides and medications to help in the prevention of periodontal (gum) disease.
